Founded in 1991 by Bobbi Brown, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics launched its first line of lipsticks under the name Bobbi Brown Essentials. Four years later, the Estée Lauder group acquired the brand rights, and Brown remained at the helm of the company. In 2007, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics opened its first standalone store in New Jersey, USA, and in 2013, it partnered with Safilo to produce sunglasses.

After more than two decades leading the brand, Brown announced her departure from her own brand. «The brand’s 25th anniversary was a wonderful milestone that made me realize it’s time to start a new chapter and embark on new projects,» the founder pointed out.
